I first met Jo with my friend and I was so nervous but almost immediately she put my mind at ease. I then met her for a chat about my goals and we talked a bit about my past and that I wanted to try and improve my mental health and lose weight so that when the time comes I am able to have gender affirmation surgeries. After my first session with Jo I felt a sense of euphoria that I hadn’t experienced before. My head felt lighter and my thoughts just calmed down. That was back in May, it is now December and I am over 2 months on testosterone and for the first time ever the other day I took a picture of myself that I actually like!

 I have never lifted weights before or done strength training, but Jo sensitively and patiently worked through a program of movements and the results in my body shape, weight, mood and ability were striking.

I always look forward to my pt sessions with Jo and that's something new for me!  Jo has a seemingly effortless way of making you feel like you want to give your best. She is an excellent listener always giving sound advice for both fitness and diet. She has a wealth of knowledge on moving for mental health and I always come away from our sessions feeling ace!

 

Since starting training with her a handful of months ago I have felt my strength improve in leaps and bounds, feeling stronger and fitter than I have done in ages. And just generally healthier.  I have also been delighted to receive many complements on my improved physique!

 

I'd recommend Jo to anyone whether you're new to strength and fitness or just want a few tips and pointers on how to progress. 

 

She is strong in a motivational and kindly encouraging kinda way!

Jo really gets my mental health and this has been really beneficial to my exercise sessions. She just gets it! She is able to empower me to achieve what I can on that particular day.
