Exercise on referral
You can be referred to me through your GP, health professionals and community groups through social prescribing. You can also self refer if you feel this would help you via the forms page.
Exercise and strength training are an incredible adjunctive treatment for managing mental health conditions, and have multiple benefits for mind and body.
I have trained with Trauma Informed Weightlifting which means I have an understanding of how we all experience the world, people and places differently. I have an awareness of how trauma may present itself physically and emotionally depending on what we have been through in our lives. I believe that strength training and exercise are key to recovery and managing mental health conditions and have huge potential for healing.
You may never have stepped inside a gym before or had personal training, but by working with me, you will learn how to find a way to exercise which works for you.
We can work on a 1-1 basis or you can join a small group, everyone is different so we will identify the most suitable way of working by talking first and go from there.
The best thing to do is get in touch, and we can work out the best option for you. You can email, call or message via the website to find out more.
